n. A Ninja who is eco-friendly.

adj. To behave in en environmentally friendly way, whilst sneaking in traditional ninja style.

Ninja Points

 

For your actions:

 

4 points for every day of the week you generally walk or ride a bicycle to school/work/shops (or work at home) or

 

2 points for every day of the week you generally catch a bus or train to school/work/shops or

 

1 point for every day of the week you car pool to school/work/shops

 

 

1 point for each day of the week you generally take reallly short showers or reallly small baths (with 3 l’s).

 

1 point if you generally use your own durable shopping bag rather than disposable plastic ones

 

2 points for each letter or article on the environment by you that is published in a newspaper, magazine or journal

 

2 points if you generally wear a jumper inside your house in winter

 

 

2 points if you eat mostly fresh rather than processed food

 

5 points if you grow your own veg or generally get them from people near you (cuts down on transport costs)

 

10 points if you’re a responsible vegan or vegetarian (e.g. less greenhouse), provided you get your necessary nutrients like iron etc

 

50 points if you are a self reliant permaculture farmer. Yay!

 

 

3 points for having dressed like a Ninja.

 

5 points for having a link to this site on your own.

 

 

 

For your home:

 

3 points if most (if not all) of the light bulbs in your house are energy efficient

 

3 points if you live within 1.5 kms  (1 mile) of work / school

 

1 point if you live within 3 kms (2 miles) of work / school

 

5 points if you live in an apartment or smaller house than most others in your city.

 

10 points if your house is a solar design (eg insulated, with glass facing the winter sun)

 

10 points if you use solar hot water, solar cells and trick stuff like that

 

 

 

For your car /bike:

 

1 point if your vehicle has a capacity not more than 1.8 litres

 

5 points if you drive a hybrid car or something trick like that

 

10 points if you don’t own a car / motorcycle

 

 

 

 

Bonus points: if you find an Eco Sensei and convince them you are worthy by virtue of considerations not listed above, they may bestow up to ten additional points. Yay!
